Durango School District 9-R announced today that Miller Middle School Principal Tam Smith is stepping down from his current position due to health concerns.

During his time at Miller Middle School, Tam has overseen incredible growth at the school, implemented new assessment, curriculum and instructional pedagogies, and has navigated the school through authorization as an International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program.
